Tip of the hat to Nikolas Schiller for posting this recently. It’s an advertisement from an 1880 newspaper urging DC citizens to attend an organizational meeting and rise up against “Taxation Without Representation” and Congressional interference in local affairs. Yeah, this has been an issue for a long, long time.
