Two DC Statehood Events This Week Sponsored by ACLU

Panetta Snags Ward 3 Democrats Endorsement

I was formally endorsed by the Ward 3 Democrats for re-election to “Shadow” U.S. Representative position on June 17th at the organization’s monthly meeting. The threshold for endorsement was 75% of the votes cast, which I was able to meet. This endorsement comes less than a week after I prevailed in the the city-wide Democratic Party straw poll.

House Vote Delayed

The vote scheduled for today in the U.S. House has been delayed. The supporters of the bill are looking to find a way to pass legislation that does not have the gun provision that was added to the Senate bill when it passed last week.
